"BUCKWILD"
This was one of my favorite shows to watch.
"My guilty pleasure."
Its sad how for the brief 15 minutes of fame, lives are forever lost to "Reality Shows."
A few years ago, some writers of TV shows on various stations had gone on strike, leaving shows to eventually fail & get cancelled.
While these writers were on strike, stations became desperate for something that would keep the viewers watching, and ratings up.
We've evolved into "reality shows."
A huge downfall for us all.
No longer could we trust the stations to keep young viewers safe from garbage television.
Not that we fully trusted them at all.
We have "The Real World", "Survivor", "The Biggest Loser", "The Bachelor", Etc.
Shain Gandee was only 21 when he, his uncle, and an unidentified friend were found dead in his Bronco from Carbon Monoxide.
It leaves me to wonder.
Did this young man, his uncle, and friend want to keep the cameras on them doing what Shain loved to do, and was made famous for doing on the show which was "Muddin'"?
If that was indeed the case, SHAME ON YOU MTV & CAMERA CREW!
Someone should've notice there was a problem if they were in fact filming.
Only them & God knows what really happened.
Having the opportunity to become a "Reality TV Star", really isn't an opportunity at all, except to fail.
The other Co-Star, Salwa has also given up her life for faster cash.
I'm assuming that the cast isn't being paid well since Salwa felt she had to become a drug dealer.
When the dreams of being on TV become a reality for young kids, it soon after becomes a living nightmare they can't wake up from.
They get the false sense of security, then allow themselves to believe that they are above authority and can't be touched...
That is until they actually really get touched.
Its all sad.
Our youths today don't have the same values we older wiser adults had while growing up.
What is viewed by these naive, sheltered young people is what they see as being acceptable.
Blame shouldn't be held by one, but by all.
If you as a parent allow your children to watch things you yourself find offensive, then you too are to blame.
Networks that only care about the ratings, and the money they see from the shows that are deemed "A Hit" hold some responsibility as well.
Instead of pointing fingers, change what is making fingers point.
I'm just saying..
