IT'S AMAZING TO ME HOW THROUGHOUT THE GENERATIONS THE BASIC STANDARDS HAVE CHANGED WHEN IT COMES TO RAISING CHILDREN.

I REMEMBER WHEN PARENTS RULED WITH AN "IRON FIST".

MEANING THAT THERE WERE NO EXCUSES, JUST PROBLEMS THAT GOT SOLVED.

FOR INSTANCE:

MY MOM WAS RAISED IN THE 40'S, AND HER MOTHER WAS RAISED IN THE TEEN'S.

I'M A 70'S BABY..

FROM THIS, I MEAN TO SAY THAT THE STORIES I WAS TOLD GROWING UP WERE THAT  IF YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG, YOU WERE HANDLED ACCORDINGLY.

MY GRANDMOTHER STRUGGLED FOR AN EDUCATION, MY MOTHER FOUGHT FOR HER EDUCATION, I APPRECIATED MINE.

WE'RE FINISHED.

MY KIDS ARE 9YRS APART, AND THE OLDEST LOVED SCHOOL, AND GOT HIS EDUCATION. 

MY YOUNGEST USE TO LOVE SCHOOL WHEN HE WAS A BIT YOUNGER, BUT NOW THAT HE HAS HIT PUBERTY HE'S BEEN TESTING US ALL.

NO MATTER HOE MUCH YOU TRY TO EXPLAIN, KIDS JUST DON'T GET IT.

I TELL HIM THAT HIS EDUCATION IS HIS SHIELD, WEAPON, AND SALVATION.

NO ONE CAN GET HIS EDUCATION FOR HIM, BUT HIM.

WITHOUT AN EDUCATION, YOUR DEFENSELESS! 

PERIOD!

I'VE NOTICED GRADES SLIPPING, AND BEHAVIOR CHANGING.

I DON'T BELIEVE IN LAYING MY HAND ON HIM, BECAUSE I FEEL I MIGHT SERIOUSLY HURT HIM.

I DO THREATEN HIM.

I WILL TELL HIM I'D LAY HANDS IF HIS BEHAVIOR DOESN'T CHANGE, BUT I DON'T FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THE TREATS.

I THREATEN TO TAKE AWAY ALL HIS PRIZE POSSESSIONS, LIKE THE CELL PHONE I SAID HE COULDN'T HAVE THAT HIS FATHER BOUGHT ANYWAYS.

THE XBOX, THE CABLE, ETC., HAVE RECENTLY BEEN REMOVED FROM USE.

SOME SAY I'VE GONE TO FAR, I THINK NOT FAR ENOUGH.

I KNOW PEOPLE THAT BELIEVE THAT A SPANKING IS WHERE YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT SOMETIMES.

I DON'T THINK THAT TEACHES THEM ANYTHING CAUSE THE BEHAVIOR CONTINUES, AND NOW ALL YOU HAVE DONE IS SHOW HIM / HER HOW TO PASS THAT DOWN TO THEIR KIDS.

I LOOK AT THE VIDEO, & ITS THESE KIDS DANCING IN A WAY THAT IS TOTALLY SEXUAL, & NIKKI IS DOING HER THING, BUT WHAT SHE HAS ON, (OR SHALL I SAY LACK THERE OF) IS A GOLD JACKET THAT IS OPEN EXPOSING HER BEAST.

EVERY OTHER SHOT OF HER IS WITH HER NIPPLES BLURRED OUT, AND TO SAY THE LEAST THE SONG IS ALSO ABOUT SEX.  

I MEAN HONESTLY, KIDS NEED TO HAVE BETTER ROLE MODELS.

ITS NOT THEIR JOB OR PREFERENCE AS AN ARTIST TO BE ONE. (APPARENTLY)

THEY DO HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT A CERTAIN AGE GROUP LIKES THEIR MUSIC, AND ENDS UP EMULATING THE ARTISTS THEY ADMIRE, HENCE THEIR FAN BASE. 

I GUESS THE ARTIST THAT ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE INDUSTRY OF MUSIC, & OTHER FORMS OF ENTERTAINMENT SHOULD REALLY DO A SELF EXAMINATION, AND ASK THEMSELVES "IS THIS WHAT I WANT MY KIDS LOOKING UP TO, AND EMULATING THE SAME BEHAVIOR CAUSE THEY THINK ITS COOL - WOULD I BE OKAY WITH THAT AS A PARENT?"

FINDING PEACE

Sometimes in life we need to learn how to pick, & chose our battles.

I sometimes allow the things that stress me, take over my mood.

Even I sometimes have to step back, take a breath, and relax while I think of a solution rather than focus on the problems.

Its just when you think you've given all you had, tried everything you could think of, & accomplished nothing, something spectacular happens when you least expect it.

The message is to stop blocking your own blessings, and find your own happy medium in dealing with stress, & problems.

I was watching this clip on CNN Chanel via YouTube.com, and these two should be on some kind of official adult supervision.

I am speechless about this... I really don't know what to call it.. Its a myriad of bad judgement's going on all at once.

On what normal planet is it okay, with given permission of a 16 year old to marry a 51 year old pervert?

I am truly at a loss right now.

Its not my 1st time hearing, or even seeing these two weirdos live & direct on television.

It just boggles the mind that a child of sixteen asks permission to marry a man the equivalent of her parents current age, maybe even older.

She clearly isn't a mature girl, with the sense of a grown woman, to make clear choices on her own.

For the parents of Courtney.. Epic fail!!  Please don't have anymore children, we do not need more misguided individuals roaming around.

You watch the video & you tell me if I'm wrong in this opinion.

I just know I wouldn't allow it, and probably would have had his perverted butt thrown in jail.

Shame on the adults in this situation.

NEPOTISM & OTHER FAVORED COME UPS..

I'm wondering these days if talent is truly respected anymore?

I see people in position, handing down a position to friends and family members that may, or may not deserve it.

A new show that is being groomed for air play on New York's  radio station 105.1 FM test name "Les-B-Honest".  

I found out about this show, & how it came about like the rest of America that watches "La La's Full Court".

What I admire about La La is that she got where she is from hard work, & on her own merit. 

I'm sure someone she knew, connected her with the right people to make her career happen.

What I do know is that no relatives played a part in it, besides supporting her efforts.

I was watching La La's show, and noticed how she honestly gives back, and helps out.

What I do, & don't like about her show is Po Johnson, & her cousin Dice.

Their supportive of La La, there's no doubt about that, but what burns me up is that their coat tail riding La La's position.

I know their all friends and family, and its good to help out when you can, but the reveal of their appreciation comes from using that factor.

In my eyes their not really grateful of what she does for them. 

A "thank you" falls from their lips, but not before they state the negative about what's been done for them.

Example:  La La takes them with her to London for company & fun.  La La gets the suite that accommodates herself, her husband, & her son.  

They complained about room accommodations, adding reference to how large La La's room is, verse how small theirs was.

Then to add insult to injury at the cost of the viewers, one makes a statement  saying that they went from mansion status to section 8 status in England. #VeryOffensive!

All because they had on bed in a very large suite, & there were two of the.

They flipped for the bed, & one would get it while the other got the large plush coach.  

Neither of them paid for it, so why complain about it?

On another trip where they tagged along, they were having lunch with La La whom was getting her picture snapped by paparazzi, & had to go.

Needless to say when she left, again she footed the bill, & paparazzi followed her. 

La La left her cousin & friend Po with her credit card to pay for lunch, & said only use the card for emergencies and to pay for lunch.

They paid for lunch, and used the hell out of the credit card that wasn't theirs. 

They did this so they could attempt to make it into the more famous blogs, and have their pictures snapped by paparazzi.

They went on a mission to find out how they can make their status come up.

Doing this, they were popping bottles for no reason, at a very expensive hotel, spending La La's money on food, drinks, and randoms.

News Flash!! Paparazzi isn't interested in the entourage, just the people that are trending now.

But I digress...

Long & short of it, is I see that people that want to make it in show business.

So they work long, and hard for it by paying their dues the honest way. 

The new show that may or may not make the airwaves "Les-B-Honest"  was a bug La La put in the ears of the people that can make it happen.

Po Johnson is a rapper / singer, & Dice is a promoter.

I wonder why they didn't make it happen before La La helped?

I wish the show success, I just wish they would have done it on their own like everyone else did.

I pay attention to the news, and who makes the front pages.  

They say that no publicity is bad publicity... 

Why be in the news only to bring down your value as a person?  

I see these "celebrities", (& I use that term loosely) acting as if their the new "Untouchables".. 

GIVE ME A BREAK!  

From 8 - 80, making reckless comments, gestures, & poor judgement.

If you chose a profession that leads you to forever be in the public eye, why be angry about your lack of privacy, and perform badly in public?

Example: Justin Bieber.. 

He claims to have had the worst birthday ever in London.. 

He's allowed to feel that way.  

Remember this Mr. Bieber, it was that very 1st YouTube video you put out that started your career by going viral, which lead to you signing with Usher Raymond, whom helped launch your career.. 

Let me ask you this. What did you think was going to happen next?

Your days of privacy and rest are basically over forever, weather you'd like to think otherwise or not.  

Your fans are why your famous, and why you get to live the way you do.

Showing up 2 hours late for your own show, lacks professionalism. 

That's just really rude.

If something happened that prevented him for showing up on time, he sure could have filled his fans in on it.

Avoiding the wicked people with the cameras (i.e. paparazzi) keeps you off the radar.

Weather or not the paparazzi's behavior was professional, is irrelevant.

1: They have no fans to keep. Their just trying to make money like you, off of you, while actually helping you.. 

2: They sell their photos, and audio of you to the highest bidder, that then gets published either leaving you in a good light, or bad one.

3: Why do you care after the fact? 

I mean, you avoided some pictures, but then exposed yourself for ridicule by responding to an upset photographer trying to get a rise out of you. By stating something negative, and you responding you only made his price go up for the highest bidder willing to pay for your reaction.

When your fans lose interest, you become irrelevant.

Behaving badly only makes you look like a dummy.

Its hard to come back from that..
